Andy McMahon – New Commercial Manager at Collier & Catchpole
Andy McMahon has joined Collier & Catchpole, bringing with him over 11 years’ experience in sales and product management for another merchant.
Born and bred in Ipswich, Andy went to Chantry High School before embarking on a career which included him being an alarm engineer, van driver and branch manager for one of the biggest trade paint brands in the UK before moving to Kent Blaxill and the builders’ merchants sector.
Andy takes on the newly-created role of Commercial Manager, working closely with the two branch managers and Managing Director Tim Rowbottom, to grow the business, develop the customer base and spearhead strategic projects such as pricing and customer care.
Managing Director Tim Rowbottom welcomes Andy to the family-run business:
It is an exciting time for Andy to join us. We continue to recruit with an eye to the future and are not holding back on investing in people or plant to differentiate Colliers from our local competitors
There was only one other builders’ merchant I would consider joining and that was Collier & Catchpole. It feels good to be working with an independent business with strong family values and a great reputation.
Andy lives in Ipswich with his wife and two children. He is a keen runner and a great rugby fan spending, most of his weekends watching the first team and then his son in the junior section at Ipswich Rugby Club.
